What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, subscribe to our sessioner subscription service, respond to a survey, fill out a form, view demos or participate in pilot project.

When ordering, registering or subscribing on or through our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information, social security number (job application only), school district info or school info. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order, subscription or enter, submit, or access your personal information.

We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into paypal.com's payment gateway or the third party's payment gateway for further processing and completion. All of the payment information you submit to paypal.com or any other third party credit card company from our website is kept and maintained on their secure servers and is only accessible by those authorized with the rights to such systems, and as such, they are required to keep the information confidential. We do not store any credit card information in our servers other than what is posted back to our website (name, email, transaction id, date, item name, trans type and amount), which you can view from your user account. You must log in to paypal.com or the third party credit card company to view ALL the specific details of an order, purchase or subscription transactions.

Do we use cookies?

As part of the California Online Privacy Protection Act, all users who use Edu Online Services, LLC's iSessioner.com Tutoring, Learning and Collaboration website platform's tools and services through its subdomain URL addresses can make any changes to their personal information at anytime by logging into their account and going to their 'Edit Profile' page. Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act), our policy is below for those students who are under the age of 13.

The notice must be clearly written and understandable; it should not include any unrelated or confusing materials. It must state the following information:

    The name and contact information (address, telephone number and email address) of all operators collecting or maintaining children's personal information through the Web site or online service. If more than one operator is collecting information at the site, the site may select and provide contact information for only one operator who will respond to all inquiries from parents about the site's privacy policies. Still, the names of all the operators must be listed in the notice. This informatin is at the bottom of this webpage.

    The kinds of personal information collected from children (for example, name, address, email address, hobbies, etc.) and how the information is collected -- directly from the child or passively, say, through cookies. We collect at registration the first name, last name, gender, age, grade level, student id number, home address, email address, age certification or in addition the school name, school email, school website, their advisor and their advisor's room number. In addition, once the student has registered successfully for an account, the student must provide their full address, their parent's/guardian's full address (for google distance mapping for time and distance to conduct offline sessions), school information, advisor information and counselor information from their edit profile web pages, so the student's educators can have the option to be involved in the student's learning and well-being.

    How the operator uses the personal information. For example, is it for marketing back to the child? Notifying contest winners? Allowing the child to make the information publicly available through a chat room? The student's personal information is used by a sessioner to create a personalized Individual Learning Plan or a Progress Report. In addition, the student's personal information is available to the session's sessioner so they can conduct the prepare and conduct the sessions with the student. And, the student's personal information is used by the Site to enable the student to use the services within or outside the session, but still on the Site. In either case, the student's personal information is only available to their sessioner. The only thing available by the student that could be visible to another user of the Site would by their profile picture, which is viewable throug the boards, the learning notebooks or the comments. In any case, the student has the option to use a non identifiable profile pic they can select through their profile page.

    Whether the operator discloses information collected from children to third parties. If so, the operator also must disclose the kinds of businesses in which the third parties are engaged; the general purposes for which the information is used; and whether the third parties have agreed to maintain the confidentiality and security of the information. No advertising will be shown/displayed to a student that is logged into the Site.

    That the parent has the option to agree to the collection and use of the child's information without consenting to the disclosure of the information to third parties. See the previous bullet.

    That the operator may not require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in an activity as a condition of participation. We strive to provide the student the option to uss only that information that is neccessary for the student to use the Site successfully.

    That the parent can review the child's personal information, ask to have it deleted and refuse to allow any further collection or use of the child's information. The notice also must state the procedures for the parent to follow. The parent/guardian can view their student's profile page from their parent profile page provided they have entered the correct information for their child(ren) on their edit parent profile page.


Children Under Age 13

iSessioner.com and its subdomains do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for iSessioner.com, its subdomains or send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to or on iSessioner.com or its subdomains unless a parental, guardian or a school consent (from parent or guardian) form has been successfully submitted to Edu Online Services, LLC or https//www.eduonlineservices.com NOT granting permission through email or regular mail. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental, guardian or a school consent (from parent or guardian), we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us through the contact form. In addition, as the parent or guardian of a minor child, you will have access to your child's or your children's student profile page when you creat an an account and provide certain details about your child or children to complete the process.

Children Between the Ages of 13 and 17

We recommend that minors 13 years of age or older ask their parents or guardians for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet including this Web site.
